We learned the basic structure of a short story

We learned that a story has to follow certain guidelines. We should set the scene, create characters (main and secondary) and give them character traits in order to be more realistic. A story should have a "problem" to be solved, the action rise iin to a climax and the action starts flling until you get to the resolutio. Of course this is only the basic form, the limit to our imagination doesn't exist.
